about your personal character. After this two week period, you will moved up to Member status, where you will have access to the rest of the features that comes with being a full member of a kinship.
The Kinship House - We have a large kinship house which we all have access to. It is an excellent place for meeting, as well as an outlet to share items. You will also receive a 10% reduction in repair costs from the vendors there. It is located at 1 High Road, Bronning, in the Bree-Land Homesteads. Since joining the United Races, you have gained a new skill, which will allow you to travel here quickly. You will find it in your skills panel (K).
Community Containers - Once you are a full Member, you will gain access to our community containers within the kinship house. This is a great resource for us as a kinship to share items with other members, such as recipes, crafting materials, just about anything really. Feel free to take whatever you need, and contribute as you can. Typically, the containers are organized as follows: recipes in the main room downstairs, misc items in the hall, and equipped items upstairs.
Website / Forums - There are a lot of handy guides and quick links throughout this site. Feel free to browse at will, and ask questions whenever needed. We’re here to help each other flourish in Middle Earth, and have put a great deal of time into collecting this information. There are also forums available, which you may register for. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the forums and read the news once in a while. If you have any trouble registering, look under the Guides section for help on this.
Alternate Characters - Alternate Characters (alts) are common, and of course welcome. Simply tell an officer that you would like to have your alt invited into the kinship, and they will certainly do that for you when you coordinate with them. Once your alt is in, please add a note to your alts name in the kinship section of the social panel (O), stating the name of your main character. This is to let everyone else know who they’re talking to when you’re on your alt, since we will likely not remember right away. There is a button at the lower right of the kinship panel for changing your note. To view the notes of others, click on the small triangle button at the top of the list next to where is says, ‘Location’. This will switch modes between showing location, notes, and date recruited of all the other members.
Inactivity - Once in a while, real life bears down on all of us and we need to take a break. Sometimes folks are gone for a few days, some are off for months at a time and some folks just don’t ever return. We have a rather simple process regarding this. Just tell us what’s happening, and include it on your character note of you’re going to be gone for a long time. If we don’t know what your plans are for returning, the sequence of events will be this: After 30 days your character will be demoted to ‘Recruit’ status. After 90 days your character will be released from the kinship. Bottom line is, just share your plans if possible.
Welcome to the United Races. -Magnarr
