The ‘Unite’ chat channel

The Vilya Alliance communicates in-game through a custom chat channel called, "Unite"  on the Vilya server only. See below for guidelines and instructions on using the Unite chat channel.

Guidelines of using the channel

This to be used for Inter-Kinship LFM (looking for members), while creating groups, raids, etc.  Notice that this is not an LFF (looking for fellowship); this channel is for completing groups not looking for groups

Updates from remote areas are welcome, such as Ettenmoors

Advice is welcome, but should be moved quickly to /tell

Absolutely no sales advertising, or recruitment spam

Directions for using the channel

1. Right-click on your Chat Tab, and select User Chat 1, 2, 3 and 4 from the filter options.
 
2. In the chat line, type "/joinchannel Unite"
 
3. You are now in a custom chat channel called, "Unite". It will be automatically placed to one of the four chat channels (which is why you selected all four earlier in the filter). You may now send chat by typing, "/userchat unite (text)". The next step will explain how to create an alias string to make this a lot shorter to type.
 
4. Copy the following string into your chat bar, spaces included:
/alias ;u /userchat unite

5. Now, you may type, ";u (text)" to use the Unite chat channel.
 

Easy enough. When you relog, you will automatically join this channel again, as long as you did not leave it before logging off previously.
 
Another handy thing is to create a sole tab for the user chat channels, if you like.

You can also leave a chat channel by typing "/leavechannel (name)", or list the channels you are currently in by typing "/listchannels".
